I take a simple approach to my social media services

  1. Web Presence Review (evaluation of all web assets + recommendations): 4-6 hours

  2. Consulting / Training: $60/hr

  3. Social Media Management (8-10 hr Monthly retainer): $60/hr for a six month minimum.

  4. Reputation Management: 30-45 min weekly management + 1hr for each specific issue (online review) needing to be addressed.

  5. Reporting: 1-2 hours / month depending on amount of web assets monitored / managed.

  6. A la carte social media services: $100 per profile / page for the following:

  • LinkedIn profile creation / optimization
  • Facebook business page creation / optimization
  • Google+ page creation / optimization

How I differ from the norm

I don't charge extra for additional social networks unless they require manual posts. I charge based on time spent creating / curating content.

Quick scenario:

Small business wants a web presence review (4hrs). Based on those findings / recommendations they would like to create a Facebook page ($100), Twitter profile (Free), Google+ page ($100), LinkedIn (company page - Free) and post to those social profiles once a day (Monday - Sunday).

I don't charge extra for additional social networks unless they require manual posts. I charge based on content created / curated.

I determine it will take 2hrs per week to find / curate content, schedule posts, and monitor engagement for those social networks. 8 hours / month

Monthly report (1hr) plus one hour meeting to go over insights and get feedback. 2 hours / month

There's probably an additional 2hrs of setup to get the requested social profiles connected to scheduling / management tools.

So in all...

  • Web Presence Review - 4hrs = $240
  • Social Profiles Creation - 2 x $100 = $200
  • Social Media Setup - 2hrs = $120
  • Monthly Social Media Management - 8hrs = $480
  • Monthly Analytics / Meeting - 2hrs = $120
  1. Total Setup Costs = $320
  2. Monthly SMM = $600
